We followed friends from another hostel in Pokhara, turned out to be the best decision of the trip. Friendly staff, chilled out atmosphere and great ambience and food at the rooftop restaurant.

I stayed at Alobar a total of three weeks (hehehe) back in Jan/Feb of 2014. From the moment Pema picked me up at the airport when I landed to my goodbyes and tears leaving it was a life-changing experience. Of 7 months of backpacking I met the most creative, brave, honest and interesting travelers at Alobar, and the staff became like family. And I DIDN'T even trek....just the trek to Pokhara and back wink emoticon - I will definitely be back and miss you all! All my love from the USA.

Unbelievable experience. Patrick from Canada and Trudy from Perth, add me. You both have places to stay in NY and let's coordinate for future adventures! Love Alobar.

I stayed here twice, whilst in Nepal and I loved every minute of it. Everyone is so kind hearted, helpful and genuine people. It's amazing all the work everyone has done with the earthquake. The place it's self isn't flashy but it has all your basic needs. If you are all about people and experiences here is the right place to stay. Staff also helped me with my bag which I left at the hostel and made my bus to India wait until I got my bag back. I'm so thankful to them all!! Can't wait to visit again.

I loved Alobar1000 ! Everyone that works there was so helpful and friendly. The rooftop is amazing as well, a really good place to chill out and meet people. I found flying into Kathmandu a bit overwhelming but Alobar really helped me feel comfortable and find my feet in Nepal.

If your a backpacker traveling alone or even with friends and want to socialise and meet some awesome new friends do not hesitate to stay here. As a world traveler I can honestly say this is one of the best hostels I've ever stayed in for social atmosphere. I've met some lifetime friends here and trekking buddies (they have a tour company attached so you can book all your treks and outings with them).
