KATHMANDU
The City of Temples
Kathmandu is derived from the word "Kasthamandap", which means the wooden temple. If you visit KTM, you will see why it is called the city of Temples. There are temples everywhere. In the corners and the alleys, on the hill, in the jungle, on the lake, inside the house, on the cart wheel; they are just all around. However the essence here is the faith. The faith in god and goddessess, which in turn is the faith inside us. This faith is so lively that the moment you step into this city you know you have come to a different world. It is this world we would like to share with you. Your experience in Nepal will be memorable one that we will guarantee but please keep an open mind because you will need it here.

An incredible sense of community at Alobar. Amazing people, amazing facilities, and truly amazing what they're doing for the people of Nepal in this crazy time. Keep it up!
I loved Alobar1000 ! Everyone that works there was so helpful and friendly. The rooftop is amazing as well, a really good place to chill out and meet people. I found flying into Kathmandu a bit overwhelming but Alobar really helped me feel comfortable and find my feet in Nepal.
Everything you could want in a hostel! Family and love! I will be back xxxx
